AM4U Singing Studio offers solo singing lessons for all ages - children and adults- from complete beginners to advanced singers in any style of music:

Contemporary/ Musical/ Classical/ Pop/ Karaoke/ Rock/ Gospel

In a one-to-one singing lesson voice and confidence will be developed to its own potential. If you are not sure about what is going on in a lesson, try a 30min no-obligation trial lesson (for free) and experience vocal training for yourself.

Lessons are held daily and evenings. After deciding to join the AM4U class, you will have a weekly solo lesson at a set time.

You don't need any experience to be able to join the groups, just come along and see what it is all about.

Get to know the members of the group and teacher. Join a lesson for a day and decide for yourself if you would like to enrol.

Weekly lessons are held during school terms. The fees are charged by term in advance to secure youir spot in the group.

You will learn how to sing and perform with your group. We do shows during the year , so get ready for a fun performance with costumes, a bit of dance movements and microphones on stage.

Our Dinner shows are our family's favourite events during the year. Students act and sing for their loved ones and we all enjoy the food and drinks.

Singing With no doubt, you or your child will receive a proper education in singing. The vocal training is exceptional and will not be taught by any other school in Australia. The training is based on the teacher's experience combined effective exercises from German Professors and international singing experts.

Music and Movement Tuition AM4U is offering solo music and movememnt lessons lessons for children 3yrs-5 yrs in Music and Movement. We focus on rhythm, singing, colours, letters, numbers, objects e.g. shapes, fruit etc. This tuition is the exceptional preparation for school!

Piano Tuition The desire to play piano to relax after a hard day at school or work is very common. Piano lessons are fun, especially with AM4U. No matter what age, learning piano can teach you how to read music the easy way. Playing an instrument can start a basic knowledge of music theory and if you believe you can write songs, piano tuition is very helpful. Book in now for a free piano trial lesson!

HSC Music Theory Course If your teenager is doing HSC Music Year 11 or 12, this course will be very helpful for their upcoming exams. Most HSC music students feel comfortable playing their instrument and performing in front of an audience. But considering the aural exam and the concepts of music, many students struggle. The AM4U HSC music theory course focuses on the theory component of the HSC exam. This course provides first hand exam training and prepares the student solely for the theory section of upcoming HSC Music Exam.

I heard that you have to be born with a good singing voice, is that true?

No, definitely not. It is a little bit like lifting weights, with proper training your vocal ability grows.

I am the absolute beginner; would you also consider teaching someone like me?

Being a beginner can be a plus. They come with natural potential which nobody formed before. So from my point of view the voice of a beginner is like unexplored land: sometimes a bit rough but a real challenge. Most of AM4U students started as absolute beginners. Some of them told me later that it took them a while to finally contact the studio to book for a trial lesson. They felt insecure because they couldnt read music or thought they couldnt sing well enough. Now they sing in the AM4U Concerts and some of them won competitions.

Do I need experience to start lessons?

No, just bring yourself to the trial lesson, thats all.

At the AM4U Singing Studio you are not expected

to know how to sing or read music when you come for a trial lesson!

What if I sound like a cat?

In most cases this problem can be fixed with the appropriate training.

Why should I have a trial lesson?

The trial lesson is a good opportunity to give you an introduction to singing. You will get to know the singing teacher and experience a typical one-on-one singing lesson in 30 min. Half of the lesson is taken to give you an impression of some singing exercises and breathing technique. After that you will sing a song with or without a microphone. At the end of your trial lesson we will talk about your voice and you will realize that singing is a lot of fun.

Is the trial lesson really for free and with no obligation?

The 30min trial lesson is for free. It is a fantastic chance for you to get a free professional assessment of your voice. There is no obligation to continue further lessons. Can I actually learn how to sing?

Singing is a learnt skill. Voice is an expression of thoughts and soul and in everybodys mind there is a natural human capability to sing. We are all born with a voice substance which can be built up like body muscles in a Gym centre. But its not all about the voice as such also the emotion a singer can create in the audience makes a good singer.

What happens after I decided to take lessons?

After your trial lesson you would have to decide, if your weekly lesson will be ½ hour, ¾ hour or 1 hour long. You check with your singing- or piano teacher which weekday or time will be suitable for you in accordance to the teachers schedule.

How can I remember the singing exercises when I go home?

In your first lesson you can purchase a AM4U training CD to assist you practising during the week.

What kind of songs do I have to sing in my lessons?

You will sing songs that you like. Sometimes the teacher recommends songs which can improve your singing, but always in agreement with you. The studios wide range of backings including Contemporary Songs, top40 Chart Music, Musical Theatre, Rock, R&B, Jazz/Gospel etcwill give us a good range to choose from. There is also a lot of of sheet music in the studio to find a song.

What if I want to learn The Prayer, sung by Anthony Callea and Andrea Bocelli?

No problem. You can learn songs which are in Italian if required. With AM4U you will be able to learn Italian, French or German phonetically to make it possible to sing a song in that language.

What should I bring to my lesson?

You should bring your folder and maybe your favourite CD to see if you would like to learn one of the songs with assistance by your teacher.

Do you give Group lessons?

The AM4U Singing Studio is offering group lessons for Kids/ Teenagers /Adults and Seniors. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn singing from a qualified teacher for a low prize and make new friends at the same time.

The AM4U Singing Studio offers a one-on-one (one student to one teacher) private lesson once a week at a set time. Youll have the choice between a

• ½ hour lesson

• ¾ hour lesson

• 1 hour lesson weekly

Lessons are hold daily during the week, mornings, afternoons or evenings in a professional, comfortable and fully equipped studio. The teacher is experienced and will understand that you may be nervous, especially if you are a beginner. You will be taught everything you need to learn about singing from the basics to advanced singing skills.

You will see that your singing and piano teacher will demonstrate each task or exercise and you will practise with your teacher until you feel more comfortable and will finally be able to do it the right way. With singing a song you will put your learned skills into practise. Any of your questions will be answered by your teacher because we want you to feel comfortable and to get the results you are looking for.

Which advice would you give a person who wants to learn singing?

The advice Ill give you is my own personal opinion based on experience. You will have to decide if you agree.

At first: Ask your teacher a lot of questions, you will get the best out of your lessons if you are eager to understand.

A good student is someone who asks a lot of questions A good teacher is the one who can answer them!

Always be critical in your teachers choice because you only have one voice. Especially the first teacher has the most influence on you as a singer. Always ask for their accreditation and student's achievements.

• In a big singing school there are lots of teachers. But the teacher given to you might not be the teacher who actually taught the singers who became successful stars. In this case you should ask your assigned private teacher.

• Or if you aim for a teacher who is able to teach 4 instruments and is accredited, ask for which instrument they got the accreditation for.

• Be cautious with the word professional teacher. There is a big difference between a qualified professional singers, and the others who can sing well and call themselves professionals because they earn money with singing performances. Did they really learn about the voice and the singing fundamentals, or did they just get their skills from their own experience of performing?

To sing and to teach someone singing are two very different things. Not every good singer is subsequently a good teacher!

My child is always singing around in the house, do you think it would be a good idea to start singing lessons?!

Children and Teenagers love singing; they express happiness or sadness in a song. They most love the latest chart music and songs from movies. After a long and sometimes stressful day at school singing is the best you can offer to your child to relax. There is a connection between soul and singing which has a relieving component. Singing is also helping with character building and self-confidence. Every time and effort you invest in your childs singing will add benefits.

When are children able to start singing?

From my experience younger children are able to start lessons when they can read a bit and they can follow what is being taught.

What will my child learn in a lesson?

The lessons will be fun for kids by singing their favourite songs, using microphones and performing. As teacher's we will make sure that they are having fun in their lessons, that they feel comfortable and that good vocal technique is being learned. The AM4U Singing Studio is also having regular opportunities to perform so that voice and stage confidence will be developed.
